Our Stewardship Commitment

Because every resource entrusted to us ultimately comes from the Lord, we are committed to stewarding each gift with integrity, accountability, and care.

Our work is guided by our Christ-centered mission, and we are dedicated to helping families access educational opportunities through every dollar entrusted to us.

Responsible Governance

The Good Soil Scholarship Fund is governed by an active Board of Directors who provide oversight, approve budgets, and review financial and operational outcomes.

Our board includes individuals with experience in financial management, compliance, and organizational oversight, ensuring strong stewardship and accountability. Board members uphold fiduciary responsibility and actively avoid conflicts of interest.

Faithful Use of Funds

Donations are used in accordance with our mission and donor intent.

  • Scholarship funds support educational opportunities that align with our mission and established program guidelines.
  • When a donor designates a gift for a specific program or purpose, we honor that designation, consistent with our mission and policies.
  • A portion of funds may be used to responsibly administer and grow the organization.

Financial Accountability & Transparency

We are committed to transparency and sound financial practices:

  • Financial records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • An independent financial review or audit will be conducted as appropriate based on organizational size and applicable requirements.
  • Form 990 will be reviewed by the Board prior to filing.
  • Financial statements and Form 990 will be made available on our website once available.
  • As a newly established organization, these documents will be published following our first full fiscal year and updated annually thereafter.

Integrity in Fundraising

We commit to honest and respectful communication with our supporters:

  • No high-pressure or misleading fundraising practices
  • Clear and accurate communication about how funds will be used
  • Respect for donor intent and the impact of each gift

Donor Privacy

We respect and protect the privacy of our donors:

  • We do not sell, rent, or share donor information
  • Donor information is used solely for communication and stewardship purposes
  • We maintain appropriate safeguards to protect supporter data

Ethical Standards

We maintain and follow key governance policies to support accountability and ethical operations, including:

  • Conflict of Interest Policy
  • Financial Controls & Oversight Policy
  • Scholarship Fairness Policy
  • Whistleblower Policy

We believe trust is built through transparency, and we are committed to stewarding every gift responsibly.
